ISO parents/siblings/descendants of my gggrandfather, John W. Ward. He was originally from N.C. I do not know the county. He was born abt. 1836 in N.C. He died in Montgomery County, Al. (Lapine) on August 7, 1885. He was in the CSA, 45th Infantry Company I, 44th Infantry, Co. ?, and the 17th Infantry, Co. B. He was a POW, took the oath of allegeance and was released in Montgomery, Alabama in 1865. He fathered 8 children. He worked in the shoe repair/factory while a POW. Then, he became a farmer. I would like to hear from any family member. His children were: Malissa Caroline Cella, William Perry, John Leandrew, Mary Frances, Daniel O., Benjamin Clay, and James Hubbard Ward. Thanks.
