Grant was born in Chilicothe (hard to read) Iowa and Georgiana was born in Port Byrum, IL. Gramt's parents were Nathan and Laura (Mathena) Dowd. Georgiana's father was Samuel Taggart. Her mother was either Jane Farbor or Sarah Dickinson. Sarah's name is crossed out and Jane's is written above it. Mrs. Calhoun was the J.P.s wife. He was S.J. Calhoun. They were married in the town of Shamrock, which I don't think exists anymore.
