i have also found spelled aldridge. but in california records its alldredge. also his wifes first name has been spelled 2 ways hilund or helen. they immigrated to butte county california around 1877. his birthplace is listed as tn. his son joseph samuel is my great grandfather, born 25 sept 1874 in missouri any information on his wife or hugh george would be appreciated ive hit a road block .
