Their marriage was very successful. They lived near Fredonia about 7 miles s.e. of Clarksville, Tennessee. He was a saddlemaker with two apprentices. (Billy Boatwright)
They had six children before moving to Tennessee Colony in Anderson county, Texas. He was a member of Tyre Lodge #198.He drowned in the Trinity River on April 20th,1860. His widow married a Wilson Edley Ewing in Charleston in 1866. He died in 1869. Amelia died in 1878-- no known burial site is available.

They were married near Elgin, Illinois(in the year 1880- I think on June 6th) and lived in Chicago early in their marriage and had 3 children (Albert, Ida, Harry) before homesteading in Nebraska.

Robert McLyn Rowe, immigrant welsh miner, married Margaret F. Thomas, they lived in Coal Creek until Robert was killed in 1897 in mining accident. He is buried in Leach Cemetery.
My grandmother Eveline Rowe, born 1890, is one of their children, others include Mack, Cecil, Victor, Nell. Would love more info from anyone who has some to contribute.

While Mr. Foster lived in Baldwin, Michigan, he was born in Virginia. The World War I Draft Registration Cards show that he registered in Duval, Florida. Mr. Foster was born on Septemer 21, 1894. His death certificate shows no record of any information on his parents. He was a quiet, strong man who loved his home in Mountain City, Tennessee. He died in a Veteran's home in North Carolina and is buried at Mountain Home in Johnson City, Tennessee.
Virginia Foster taught me the importance of loving family. We would sit on the porch of her home and she would tell long, beautiful stories about the family. She taught me about uncondidtional love. You could always tell she was happy especially when she was telling stories of her life with Mr. Foster (she always called him that)--they really had a love affair. Aunt Virginia loved life and was very giving to everybody. Aunt Virginia was born on February 3, 1910. Aunt Virginia died
on October 25, 1995. She is also buried at Mountain Home in Johnson City, Tennessee. Virginia Foster was the daughter of Monroe and Lena Johnson of Jonesborough, Tennessee.
Unfortunately, they had no children but Aunt Virginia gave love to every member of her family.

Azro Willie Cross was born on May 5, 1911 and died on July 25, 1960. His parents were Florence and Lincoln Cross of Lonesome Dove in Powell, Tennessee. He was a mechanic at the Morris-Horner Ford dealership in Clinton, Tennessee in the 1950s. His mother, Florence Cross, was the daughter of Henry C. Lee and Susan Gadson. Susan Gadson was the daughter of John Gadson who was the son of Isham Gadson (Africa) and Nancy Davis (South Carolina). He was a kind and loving man.
Marie Cross was born on January 15, 1912 in Jonesborough, Tennessee and died on May 17, 1953. Her parents were Monroe and Lena Johnson. She was a homemaker and worked various jobs for people in the community. She loved her family and loved to play the piano. She was active in her church.
They had two children: Sarah Cross Dockery of Capitol Heights, Maryland who married Tom Dockery of Dandridge, Tennessee and Lonnie Cross of Capitol Heights, Maryland who married Jeanette Lawrence of Knoxville, Tennessee. Lonnie, a part time cab driver in Washington, D. C., was killed as a result of a cab robbery on July 1, 1971 and is buried at the Knoxvill National Cemetery in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Their grandchildren are Ella Dockery Strawn, Brenda Lila Dockery Harris, Thomas Cross Dockery, Jr. and Kurtis Alston.
Both Azro and Marie are buried at Haven Chapen Cemetery in Anderson County, Tennessee.
