Rachael Cecelia Jackson is a daughter of Henry Jackson the father of 24 children by two different wives. Her mother was his first wife (Mary Hyer). Rachael's grandfather John Jackson is also the grandfather of 'Stonewall' Jackson. Rachael is listed as having been born in Buckhannon, Upshur, Virginia now WVa. She was also married there. She and her husband migrated to Hillsboro Ore.in 1851. Her husband and his brother that married Rachaels sister Rebecca accompanied them as did her 6 year old half brother. Her husband Lewis Miller is the one I need information on as well as his brother. I only know that they were born in WVa. Lewis was born Dec. 28, 1818 in WVa. and died Oct. 12 1875 in Kalama Wa. Rachael lived to the age of 96. Lewis was elected Captain of the small wagon train they were part of. Lewis was wounded in Idaho near a spot named Massacre rocks during an Indian raid. His eldest daughter was wounded in the same attack. She was struck in the shoulder with an arrow while fleeing and carrying one of her younger sisters. She recovered as did Lewis. Rachaels six year old half brother(George Washington Jackson) was not so lucky as he was killed during the raid. Again I need to know Lewis's brothers name, the one that married Rachael's sister) Lewis's birthplace and his parents name and anything you might have on them.
